Affiliate Disclosure

GTA Payday Loans is a referral and information service. We earn commissions when you complete an application with one of our lending partners, and we disclose that relationship transparently here.

How We Make Money

GTA Payday Loans does not lend money directly. Instead, we operate as an online referral platform that connects borrowers in the Greater Toronto Area with licensed payday lenders and other credit providers. When you submit an application through our site and are approved by a lending partner, that lender may pay us a referral fee or commission.

This commission model is standard in the financial referral industry and allows us to maintain our service at no cost to you. Your borrowing terms, interest rates, and fees are set solely by the lender you choose—not by us—and are not affected by our commission arrangement.

Our Lending Partners

We work with multiple licensed lenders operating in Ontario who are regulated by provincial and federal authorities. All of our partners are required to comply with Ontario's Payday Loans Act and related consumer protection regulations. We do not receive compensation for recommending one lender over another; rather, we aim to present options so you can make an informed choice.

Our partners accept borrowers in all credit situations, including those with poor credit, no credit history, or recent financial difficulties. Approval and loan terms depend on each lender's individual underwriting criteria.

No Hidden Relationships

We do not:

  • Charge you any fee for using our referral service.
  • Receive payment from lenders to rank them higher or recommend them preferentially.
  • Have ownership stakes in any of our lending partners.
  • Guarantee approval or specific loan terms.
  • Act as a lender, broker, or credit counselor.

Our editorial team, led by Dwayne Calloway, reviews all content to ensure accuracy and transparency. We do not allow partner payments to influence our educational articles or how we present information about responsible borrowing.

Your Data and Privacy

When you submit an application through GTA Payday Loans, your information is shared with the lending partner you select. That lender's privacy practices then apply. We encourage you to review each lender's privacy policy before submitting your application. For details on how we handle your data separately, please see our Privacy Policy.

Responsible Borrowing

Payday loans are short-term credit products designed for temporary cash needs. They typically carry higher interest rates and fees than other forms of credit. Before borrowing, consider whether you can repay the full amount by the due date, and explore alternatives if available. For guidance on responsible borrowing practices, visit our Responsible Borrowing page.

Questions or Concerns

If you have questions about our affiliate relationships, how we earn revenue, or any aspect of our service, please contact us. We are committed to operating transparently and in compliance with all applicable Ontario and Canadian regulations governing referral services and financial information.

If you have a complaint about a lender, contact the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) or the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. These organizations oversee payday lenders and can investigate violations of consumer protection law.
